What If My Mac, iPhone, or iPod Breaks?

What If My Mac, iPhone, or iPod Breaks?

Dropped your iPhone and the screen cracked? What now? Well, the answer is quite simple. Apple doesn’t just sell products, they fix them too! Anything you buy from Apple can be repaired, unless you’ve taken it upon yourself to smash your MacBook into a million pieces…

Well, first of all, Apple’s products don’t break very easily, unless you do it on purpose. Macs have a robust uni-body, which is made out of metal, unlike most PCs, which have plastic encasing. And iPhones and iPods are tough, too. The only way I’ve ever seen anyone break one is by either dropping it from really high above ground, or by drowning it in water. But if you’re careful, that probably won’t happen. I mean, I can honestly say that I have never dropped my iPod in the toilet.

But, of course, accidents do happen, and sometimes things just break. So if that’s the case, there’s no need to worry. Apple has great customer service and you’ll get your Mac, iPhone, or iPod fixed in no time!

One way is to go to an Apple Store, like the one on 5th Avenue in New York. Let’s say, for the sake of this FAQ, I dropped my Mac and the case cracked. I’ll take it to an Apple Store where the Apple Geniuses will help me back up my files and send the Mac in for repairs. A few days later, I’ll get it back in the mail, good as new. The same goes for iPhones and iPods, and pretty much everything else that you can buy from Apple.

Now, if you’re like me, too lazy to find the nearest Apple Store, there’s a second way to do it. Pick up the phone and call 1.800.MY.APPLE. The Apple Customer Care Center is open 24/7. Just give them your name and address, tell them what happened, and they’ll help you send it in for repairs. A few days later, it’ll be sitting on your doorstep, completely repaired.

Great advice. I dont know how many times I have to tell people the very same things. Glad I’m not the only one.
